Melissa McCarthy motors through NY dressed as Sean Spicer

Ready for her close-up She burst through the door where make-up and hair are done

Just this morning, actress Melissa McCarthy took the the streets of Manhattan driving a motorized podium to promote her sixth time hosting Saturday Night Live.

And now, dear SNL enthusiasts, McCarthy is back, and we have a feeling she'll be better than ever before. The point is no one can wait to find out what happens on this Saturday's episode of Saturday Night Live because it looks like McCarthy conducted a few improvised interviews while taking her newly famous character to the streets.

Melissa McCarthy drives Sean Spicer's podium through NY for "SNL" skit.

Melissa McCarthy's writers deserve a raise.

The actor is due to host Saturday Night Live this weekend, and clearly has quite the sketch planned.

I would hope that not even the stereotypical impatient New Yorker would enjoy seeing Melissa McCarthy as Sean Spicer, even as a traffic impairment.

"McCarthy will become only the fifth woman to enter SNL's "Five-Timers Club" [as host]".

His deputy, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, has taken his spot behind the real podium.

In a previous episode of SNL, McCarthy as Spicer zips around the briefing room, ramming reporters.

SNL has also released a brief promo music video set to "I Feel Pretty" from West Side Story, showing McCarthy prancing around and getting transformed into the press secretary. McCarthy was seen on Friday hitting streets of NY right outside the CNN offices in what appears to be a taping for Saturday's episode. The show's choice to have McCarthy play Spicer in drag reportedly infuriated President Trump, and given what a politically charged week it's been for the Trump administration, some viewers seem to viewing McCarthy as a general leading an "army of comedy".
