Lebanon bans the new "Wonder Woman" movie

Wonder Woman Gal Gadot

Early in the 80's the Philippines had shown the Wonder Woman television series which transfixed viewers in a weekly basis.

She rescues Chris Pine's character after he crashes his plane Is there a trailer?

Gal Gadot amended her "Wonder Woman" costume to help her breathe. "She's a pretty awesome person". The 32-year-old Israeli actress has a healthy understanding of the comic book world she's stepping into, including the fact her likeness will be on all kinds of merchandise for years to come.

A live-action Wonder Woman film is a prject that has taken 76 years too long to arrive in theaters. To see a man, confident in battle and capable in defending himself, embrace being rescued by a strong woman is powerful. "Gender doesn't and shouldn't define someone's worth".

As a child, she was inspired by Wonder Woman, describing Lynda Carter's portrayal on TV as "the embodiment of everything that I wanted to be as a woman".

Still unsure whether to see Wonder Woman after being disappointed by previous DC Extended Universe films Man of Steel and Batman v Superman? "She has such a special energy. That meant a lot to me, and of course I kept the pen!"

The costumes, including the wedges, had to be considered during the physical training, which included horseback riding, archery and swords (wo) manship. But gruelling physical regimens aren't new for Gadot.

On her Facebook page, Gadot had praised Israel's military during the 2014 Gaza-Israel war, sending prayers to soldiers "who are risking their lives protecting my country against the horrific acts conducted by Hamas". I don't want to ruin the movie for anyone, so this post will be SPOILER FREE.

Steve's sense of self is what makes his role as a damsel in distress, even an untraditional one, so necessary. "When I first saw those sequence with the Amazons on [their utopian island] Themyscira, I was blown away".

"I think it was a little daunting for the men because it was very unusual".

Jenkins saw the photo and described it as "wonderful". "It wasn't masculine at all - it was completely different and unique".

FILE - In this May 25, 2017 file photo, Gal Gadot arrives at the world premiere of "Wonder Woman" in Los Angeles. Gadot says that the girl power on set was palpable. "And when we were filming in Italy, all the actresses flew in with their families". We have babies. We have careers.

Gadot also commented on how she felt privileged to play the iconic heroine when asked about the pressure of the playing the role.

Jenkins regains her stride when the film goes back to uplifting messaging. "She's the greatest warrior in the comics, but she can also be vulnerable, sensitive, confident, confused - everything, all at once".

The problem was her costume, which was described as "overtly sexual" and therefore inappropriate for a United Nations ambassador serving as a role model for women and girls.

Just a month or so ago saw estimates state Wonder Woman would open to only around $55 million in the USA, but with Wonder Woman now kicking the crap out of Rotten Tomaotes, it's though the domestic box office may even be higher.
