The ultimate alpha male president, who is definitely in no way a puppet of Russia, may have been vulnerable to potentially "derogatory" information at the hands of the Russians during the campaign.
Russian officials spoke openly about "derogatory" financial information they claimed to have on then-candidate Donald Trump and his close circle of advisers during calls intercepted by US intelligence, CNN reported. The source said the intercepted communications suggested to U.S. intelligence that Russians believed "they had the ability to influence the administration through the derogatory information".
One source described the information as financial in nature and said the discussion centered on whether the Russians had leverage over Trump's inner circle.
However, the same source cautioned the conversation "could have been exaggerated or even made up", CNNreported. But still, it means the foreign power was interested in meddling with our elections and having some control over the man who is now president.
CNN's sources declined to say whether it was about Trump or members of his campaign team that the Russians claimed to have obtained compromising information.

If true, this would suggest why Trump and those closest to him have refused to release tax returns and other financial information. In 2016, Morgan Lewis was named Russia Law Firm of the Year by Chambers and Partners.
