Skull and Bones: Ubisoft's New Explosive Multiplayer Pirate Game

E3 2017: Ubisoft Announces Skull And Bones, A Multiplayer Pirates Naval Battle Game

Ubisoft stuck to tradition with its E3 2017 press conference this year, revealing a new IP that stole the show with its brilliance. The game will be out in Fall 2018 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. There will also be a 5v5 pvp mode, where players wage epic sea battles in order to escape with the most loot.

It comes from Ubisoft Singapore, a studio that has previously assisted other studios in making games.

Ubisoft showcased five versus five gameplay where each player controlled a pirate ship of their own, and teams battled for loot.

"It is the Golden Age of Piracy".

Skull and Bones is a multiplayer pirate game set in the Indian Ocean, that's described as "an untamed frontier full of lavish riches". Below you can have a look at the Cinematic trailer of the game. If you manage to immobilize an enemy ship, you can jump onto it and take over.

Skull & Bones will let players climb the pirate hierarchy, forming gangs with their friends or sailing the seas solo. There's probably a bunch of little differences that only become clear as you play, but on the face of things. we've seen this before. While there's a lot of ship-on-ship combat, the goal here is to collect treasure scattered around the ocean play area.

Describing the game well enough, Forbes compared the new title to For Honor, only with ships instead of warriors loaded on testosterone.
