Texas Mom Charged in Deaths of Children Found in Hot Car

Texas mom arrested after 2 children die in hot car during ‘lesson

A woman from Parker County, Texas, who tried to frame the deaths of her two young children in a hot auto in May as an accident has admitted that she left them in the vehicle to teach them "a lesson".

Upon her arrest Friday, the Parker County mother was charged with two counts of first-degree injury to a child causing serious bodily injury after her kids were found dead May 26.

Parker County Sheriff's Department investigators arrested Cynthia Randolph after admitting that she left her kids in the vehicle to "teach them a lesson".

Temperatures hovered around 96 degrees that day, reported NBC Dallas-Fort Worth.

She has been jailed and no bail has been set.

A man robbed a Simpsonville bank Saturday morning after handing a note to one of the tellers stating that he was armed.

But Randolph later admitted to authorities that she left the kids in the auto.

A chilling confession from a Parker County mom who says she left her kids in a hot auto to "teach them a lesson".

Investigator say Randolph finally confessed to first finding the kids playing in the vehicle. The investigators involved in the case believe Randolph was exclusively responsible for the death of her two children.

Medics pronounced both children dead at the scene, authorities said.

WEATHERFORD, Texas (AP) - Texas authorities say a 24-year-old woman has been charged in the deaths of her two children who were found inside a hot auto last month outside the family's home.

She said she then broke the vehicle window to corroborate her initial story. Of those, three have been in North Texas, including the two Friday in Parker County.

Randolph said she was folding laundry and watching TV and realized within an hour that her kids were "gone".

A ruling on the cause and manner of death in each child is pending, according to the medical examiner's website.

Less than a month after the tragedy, Randolph has been arrested after her original explanation for her children's deaths unraveled.

She then fell asleep for hours.

Sheriff Fowler originally said on May 26, that any incidents involving any child are hard ones, but this call was especially heartbreaking with the unfortunate deaths of the two children.
