Will the NBA Champion Warriors Visit the White House?

3:32PlayBack in the 2012-13 season Golden State's

"Today is all about celebrating our championship", the Warriors said in a statement released Tuesday, hours after the team dethroned the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

In February, after Under Armour's CEO Kevin Plank declared Trump "an asset" to the country, Warriors point guard Steph Curry, an Under Armour spokesman, didn't mince words: "I agree with that description", he said. So that's a decision I will make every single day when I wake up. But what Donald Trump did was, he reached for a demographic of people who responded to some of the most infantile, non-decent language that you could expect coming from a president candidate. Since the tradition began back in 1865, no championship team for any major American sport has skipped out on an invitation to visit the White House.

"I think we handle (the White House situation) when it gets there". "I've never really been to the White House". "This election had nothing to do with policy", he said. "We don't know. But it's tough when you want there to be some respect and dignity, and there hasn't been any". They very well could elect to do just that, but if Zillgitt is to believed (and he's more credible than the other two), then the Warriors haven't actually decided anything.

After Trump announced his travel ban plan, Kerr spoke of how he lost his father to terrorism, but disagreed with the president. It's the wrong way to go about it.

And after the November 2016 election, Warriors's coach Steve Kerr opened up about his disappointment with Trump's win.

There's little doubt that his comments have emboldened his players to take stands of their own.

The speculation over a White House boycott has begun just a day after Steph Curry and the Warriors won the National Basketball Association finals.

Other players haven't shared thoughts that are specific anti-Trump, but most have expressed ideological opinions that align with their teammates and coach.
