Frontier Airlines to fly out of Grand Rapids again

Frontier Airlines launching low-fare flights to Denver, four Florida cities

Including Tulsa in the airline's national expansion demonstrates the strength of the local market and will boost economic activity, he added in a news release.

The destination additions coincide with the carrier's introduction of low-fare service to 21 new cities and 85 new routes, encompassing 90 percent of the USA population. Frontier will offer flights as low as $39 one-way.

The new destinations join a previously announced daily nonstop Frontier flight to Orlando International Airport. "Customers traveling from Ontario now have a new significantly lower-cost options to reach these great destinations".

Tickets to Cincinnati, Orlando and San Jose will not be available until October. Frontier, known for distinctive photos of wild animals on each of its aircraft tails, last served Reno-Tahoe in September 2007.

This addition comes on the heels of Air Canada adding nonstop flights to Toronto on May 1.

Frontier is focused on more than low fares. "We thank Frontier's leadership team for increasing their presence at PVD with these additional flights and strengthening our partnership". On Aug. 14 it plans to resume seasonal service between Miami and Las Vegas, a Frontier spokesman confirmed.

Along with the Islip announcement, Frontier also disclosed Tuesday it will add 21 destinations from its Denver hub.

The airline said it is introducing new round-trip flights from T.F. Green Airport to Charlotte, New Orleans, Raleigh, Tampa, Miami and Fort Myers.
