Kanye West Is Done With Tidal

Kanye West makes waves as ‘he quits Tidal’ in £2.2m row

According to the site, Tidal responded by sending a letter of its own to West, saying the company will sue him if he makes the move to another streaming service. Sources from Tidal told TMZ that West has been unhappy with the company and has complained that the company owes him over $3 million. Accordingto TMZ, Kanye West is reportedly leaving Tidalover a money dispute and the streaming platform may level a lawsuit against him. Kanye's attorneys jumped into the fray, blasting out a series of sternly-worded letters, the last of which was delivered two weeks ago and stated that Kanye's contract with Tidal was null and void.

The dissent began one month ago, when 'Ye's lawyer sent a letter to TIDAL to say that he was cutting ties with the company due to a breach of contract.

The news of the Tidal split comes not long after Jay released new album 4:44, which includes a Kanye diss track. He was also supposed to be reimbursed for related music videos, which Tidal says it did not receive as described. Even though Kanye and JAY-Z aren't on the same page in their personal lives, there's no reason why Kanye shouldn't get paid for what he brought to the party. On Nov. 19 of past year during a concert in Sacramento, Kanye stopped the show to rant about his relationship with the music mogul.

Jay-Z, menwhile, says his lyrics shouldn't be taken literally.

So now we know some of the possible backstory to Hov's lyrics on "Kill JAY-Z". "You still ain't called me".

The Watch the Throne collaborators have reportedly found themselves at odds over a money dispute involving Jay's streaming service Tidal, TMZ reports. "Just call me. Talk to me like a man".

Though there was obviously some bad blood, Kanye, Jay-Z and Beyonce have reportedly repaired their relationship since the feud. Thus, it's entirely possible JAY-Z is simply doling out some tough brotherly love to his one-time protege.
