PUBG to get FOV slider, dedicated first-person servers in July update

Servers hosting this mode will appropriately be referred to as "hardcore servers" in-game.

In the normal, non-specified servers, players have the ability to shift between third and first-person perspectives.

Which is good news for all you first-person fanatics.

First-person-only servers will be coming to NA and European Union region solo and duo games first, then expanding to other regions and game types. They'll be available in North America and Europe first, before rolling out in other regions. Because the camera can be rotated in third-person, this allows players to peek around cover without putting themselves at-risk.

I can't imagine playing an entire match in first-person, personally. According to Brendan Greene, the game's dedicated first-person servers require a lot of work at this point.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has accumulated a massive following ever since it was added to Steam's Early Access program in March.

However, Greene recently revealed that the development team has made a decision to push back the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds full release to before the end of this year's fourth quarter.

Purists that like to play the game in first person view will be happy to know that servers dedicated to the first person mode will be hitting PU Battlegrounds in the next monthly update.
