Help: Destiny 2 PC and Third-Party Application Feature Compatibility

The Destiny 2 Beta Was Bigger Than The First Game In Terms Of Players

In fact, it seems that XSplit and OBS won't work at all when you're playing Destiny 2 in its "Exclusive Fullscreen" mode, as your only options are hardware capture through tools like Elgato or a dedicated streaming PC, or GPU software like NVIDIA Shadowplay and AMD ReLive.

To help ensure that every player will have a fair shot at fun and glory in Destiny 2 on PC, we resist attempts by third-party applications to insert code into the game client.

The Game Capture mode of applications such as OBS and XSplit is not supported. Windowed Mode/Borderless Fullscreen does not have these restrictions, and you can use OBS and XSplit here instead. Those programs can still be used to stream, but only if Windowed Mode (including Borderless Fullsceen) is used.

Like their game capture counterparts, many overlay apps will also be incompatible with Destiny 2.

Loads of PC gamers are waiting patiently for the Destiny 2 Beta that is scheduled for the end of this month.

Overlays Some features from third-party applications which rely on the use of screen overlays are generally not compatible with Destiny 2.

This is explicitly because Bungie doesn't want third-party interference in the games. The following are examples of features which may not be compatible with Destiny 2 on PC.

According to Bungie's weekly update, the PC beta will include several of the same missions and modes found in the console beta such as the Homecoming story mission, Inverted Spire Strike, and the two competitive multiplayer modes, Countdown and Control. Bungie also included some additional tuning into the PC beta after getting feedback on stuff like power ammo and super abilities.

Destiny 2 PC beta will start on August 28 only for players who pre-ordered the game.
