Xbox One X Pre-Orders Set To Go Live At Gamescom

Xbox One X Pre-Order How to be First in Line

The listings, which have since been removed, appeared to suggest a special Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition, according to The Verge. Apparently, the Project Scorpio name isn't as dead as we thought!

In the past, Microsoft has released a special edition Xbox console on a launch day when, in 2013, the company put forth a limited-edition Day One Edition consoles.

The listings, which appear to have been taken down, seemingly reveal a unique version of the 4K-capable console is on the way. There's a few other minor cosmetic differences too, like the controller has all black buttons and the console has a slightly different woven texture than the vanilla Xbox One X.

The Xbox One X, which previously had a Project Scorpio codename, was officially announced during the E3 2017 conference in June. We are not able to confirm this as the amazon.de does not list the Xbox One X 1TB Day One Edition anymore.

Microsoft will be announcing pre-order details for the Xbox One X at Gamescom on August 20th at the end of its live event. They also mentions that it's a console for the biggest fans, the first to experience Xbox One X, so it's probably a sort of day one edition. Microsoft also released a Day One achievement for those who purchased the console.

It's a matter of days before the event of gamescom 2017 start, which is why Microsoft chose to talk a little bit more about what's cooking for this event.
