'Art of the Deal' ghostwriter: Trump 'frightened by black people'

Trump, in Twitter rant, revisits grievances against sports figures

"There are plenty of people on all sides of the political and racial spectrums hoping LaVar Ball types will receive their comeuppance, but generally, Trump has saved his most sustained assaults for black people who are prominent and popular among young people, and for those who in a different era might have been considered 'uppity'". But during that time, as LiAngelo Ball and teammates Cody Riley and Jalen Hill were detained for shoplifting, LaVar Ball and his youngest son, LaMelo, were promoting pop-up Big Baller Brand stores in Hong Kong and Shanghai. All three apologized for their actions and thanked Trump for his role in securing their release, which occurred while the president was traveling in Asia. "You gotta just be humble". Trump took to Twitter once again regarding the incident. "But that's [LaVar]. He always talks loud", P said in reference to LaVar saying he didn't need Trump's help to get his son freed in an interview with CNN. All three players have been suspended indefinitely from the UCLA basketball team.

Lavar Ball is unapologetic in his speech and constantly stands by what he says, despite what everyone else thinks.

According to Yahoo Sports, the Ball-Trump feud is not just intriguing, but a bit of marketing genius on the part of Ball.

Before performing his annual duties of pardoning a Thanksgiving Day turkey, the president responded Wednesday at 5:25 a.m. EDT by calling Ball "a poor man's version of Don King, but without the hair" and an "ungrateful fool!"

He added: "If you help, you shouldn't have to say anything".

Schwartz went on to say that he had seen Trump "unequivocally awed" when meeting black athletes in the past, as though he wished that he could have been an athlete like them.

"It's not like he was in the US and said, OK, there's three kids in China, I need to go over there and get them?"

As of writing, Trump's tweet has yet to be deleted.
