Harrison Ford Plays Real-Life Hero After Woman Crashes Car Off Highway

Harrison Ford Still Playing Hero ... Helps Woman Who Drove Off Highway

A woman who ran her vehicle off the highway came in for a unusual surprise - when a cinematic hero came to her rescue.

Actor Harrison Ford was photographed helping a woman after she veered off of a highway and crashed her auto.

The 75-year-old actor, along with several other good samaritans, helped the woman get to safety before the paramedics arrived at the scene.

Ford was at the scene of the crash Sunday morning on Route 126, TMZ reported.

Ford immediately pulled over and rushed to the auto along with several other bystanders. The woman suffered minor injuries in the crash.

But did you know the man who plays both Indiana Jones and Han Solo is just as much a hero off-screen?

The first time Ford helped in an emergency situation was in 2000 when he used a helicopter to help a stranded hiker in Idaho Falls.

Ford told Federal Aviation Administration officials he was distracted by a couple of jets at the time of the incident.

In September the actor hopped out of his vehicle to direct traffic in NY after getting stuck in a traffic jam at the entrance of Midtown Tunnel, Entertainment Tonight reported.
