National Basketball Association trade rumors 2017: Should the Clippers trade DeAndre Jordan?

Report: Clippers G Patrick Beverley undergoes knee surgery

Los Angeles Clippers guard Patrick Beverley underwent a surgical procedure on his right knee on Wednesday and there's no immediate timetable for his return, local media reported.

Beverley, 29, has appeared in 11 games for the Clippers this season, averaging 12.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.73 steals in 30.3 minutes per game.

Beverley left the Clippers after Monday's game against the Knicks in NY, the team's ninth consecutive defeat, and returned to Los Angeles for the procedure.

With Chris Paul now in Houston, DeAndre Jordan may be the next one out of L.A.as the Clippers look to get out of their funk.

"He's probably going to be out a while", Clippers coach Doc Rivers told reporters in Atlanta, where the reeling team was to face the Hawks on Wednesday night, the fourth game of a five-game cross-country trip.

But with the All-NBA man approaching 30 and the past year of his deal, its hard to see how much Los Angeles can get in return as it significantly diminishes his value.

An eight game winning streak was bad enough, but now, after losing Patrick Beverley, their success season is seemingly very limited.

The big man is now averaging 10.5 points, 13.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game on 66.1 percent shooting. Danilo Gallinari has also missed seven games and is expected to miss more time with a glute injury.

The Clippers are using veteran guards Austin Rivers, Lou Williams and rookie Sindarius Thornwell in increased roles.
