Overwatch Adding New Character Moira, "Ambitious" Talon Geneticist

BlizzCon 2017: Overwatch to Get New Hero Moira, New BlizzardWorld Map Soon

Blizzard Entertainment kicked off BlizzCon 2017 the right way, giving Overwatch fans plenty of reasons to celebrate during the opening ceremony. She can send out bouncing "Biotic Orbs" with her choice of a localized healing or destructive effect.

Blizzard has revealed Overwatch's 26th hero, the talented and ambitious Talon geneticist, Moira O'Deorain. She is the sixth support class hero to join the rest of the large cast, bringing the support class' numbers up to match those of the defense and tank classes. She looks like a bit of an all-rounder.

Biotic Grasp: Using her left hand, Moira expends biotic energy to heal allies in front of her. But once free from Overwatch's rule and the world's law, she was able to speed up her research and make what she calls great scientific bounds. And finally, Lucio isn't the only support hero with serious moves: Moira's "Fade" power gives her some really nice mobility options for getting into position or out of trouble.

Coalescence- Moira channels a long-range beam that both heals allies and bypasses barriers to damage her enemies.

Blizzard World will be a hybrid map, which players will have to attack or defend a control point and then also escort or stop a payload. Whether you were hoping for a new animated short, a new map, or a new hero to join the cast, Blizzard came prepared by showing off one of each.

The new map is Blizzard World, a zany theme park map based on all of Blizzard's properties.

What do you think about the upcoming Overwatch additions?
