Asus ZenFone 4 starts getting Android 8.0 Oreo update

This update brings a new Android Oreo OS version 4.390 along with a new December patch update and performance improvements. The update is being rolled out to users in India.

With the release of Android Oreo to the latest Moto X4, the company is expected to expedite the software process for the Moto G5 series within a month starting with a soak test to registered public testers and once convinced that the software is free of bugs, it will release to the public en masse.

The download would take some space and hence, the space that requires being available for the update of Android 8.0 Oreo is at least 2 GB. Apart from that, they will also experience the unique features of Android Oreo.

Features touted include a swipe up for your app drawer, a "more friendly setting UI design", background limits, Autofill, smart text selection, picture-in-picture, notification dots, Instant Apps, new emoji, adaptive icons, and so on. The update comes with the firmware version V15.0405.1711.76.

The Asus Zenfone 4 ZE554KL features a 5.5-inch IPS full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 630/660 processor and 4GB/ 6GB of RAM.

The main highlight of the smartphone is its dual rear camera setup. The Moto G5 Plus recently received November 2017 security update, but before that, the smartphone was running March 2017 security patch update.

The instructions from Motorola say that for a successful installation, the battery in your phone should be at least 50% charged and your device should be connected to a Wi-Fi network or LTE. The Moto X4 gets a 16-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and supports 1080p video recording. The device is backed by a 3000mAh battery which also supports 15W TurboPower.
