Tuesday forecast: Above average temperatures continue through today and tomorrow

Monthly Weather Review March 1930

Lows tonight will fall to the lower 60s.

"Temperatures generally not falling below eight to 11 degrees in light to moderate southwesterly breezes".

View the current weather conditions at The Washington Post headquarters. Feels like temperatures will drop into the mid to upper 30s. This should allow for a nice day across Eastern Kentucky. But we're watching closely.

The early call is for seasonable chill and mostly dry Christmas Eve, then a better chance for snow and ice and rain on Christmas Day.

Get our daily forecasts on your Amazon Alexa device. Tomorrow and Thursday will feature high pressure building into the region with lots of sunshine and slightly cooler temperatures in the lower 40s. Winds will be out of the southwest up to 15 miles per hour. Tonight will be partly cloudy and colder with lows dropping into the lower 30s.

CHRISTMAS DAY MONDAY: Mostly cloudy skies continue with the chance for a wintry mix on Christmas Day. Keep reading for the forecast through the weekend. Now that being said, as winds shift from the north and northwest Wednesday and Thursday as high pressure over eastern Canada builds in, a shot of cooler (but not cold) air will be ushered into the area.

Thursday edges a touch colder and closer to normal for this time of year, with highs in the 40s under partly to mostly sunny skies. Temperatures for Christmas likely in the upper 20s for highs.

A weak cold front will move through Southwest Louisiana overnight and scattered showers will be possible until it arrives. This means warmer air will last all the way through Friday and the precipitation chances will stay in the form of scattered rain Friday. Overnight low temperatures will be cold, with a low of 37 degrees. Milder weather is also on the way early this week as highs will near 60-65. Temperatures remain mild in the low 50s.
