Colin Firth Says He Won't Work With Woody Allen Again

CBCDylan Farrow, adopted daughter of Mia Farrow and Woody Allen told CBS This Morning her alleged molestation in 1992 wasn’t the only time Allen behaved inappropriately toward her

Hall and the actor Timothee Chalamet, who appear in Allen's upcoming movie 'A Rainy Day in NY, ' have announced that they will donate their salaries from the film to charities including the Time's Up movement. Firth is the latest in a strong of actors to rebuke Allen following his daughter's claims.

Thursday, incidentally the same day Allen's adopted daughter Dylan Farrow reiterated claims the filmmaker sexually abused her when she was seven, Firth told The Guardian, "I wouldn't work with him again". "Even though the Farrow family is cynically using the opportunity afforded by the Time's Up movement to repeat this discredited allegation, that doesn't make it any more true today than it was in the past", he said in a statement to CBS.

Allen - the director of more than 50 movies, a four-times Oscar victor and showered with awards in Europe - has always denied the allegations, which have never been proven. "They both did so for many months and independently concluded that no molestation had ever taken place". When you think about statistics like this, what seems more likely: that Allen assaulted Dylan Farrow in their home when she was a child as she continues to maintain, or that Dylan Farrow, brainwashed by her harpy mother, lives simply to spread falsehoods about her famous adoptive father? "Dylan's older brother Moses has said that he witnessed their mother doing exactly that - relentlessly coaching Dylan, trying to drum into her that her father was a risky sexual predator".

Colin Firth is the latest star to distance himself from Woody Allen, saying that he wouldn't work with the controversial director again.

The latter two performers have donated their salaries from their work in the as-yet-unreleased Allen movie A Rainy Day in NY to the Time's Up legal defense fund. "I learned conclusively that I can not put my career over my morals again", he added. Her relationship with Woody Allen came to a halt and the allegations never resulted in any public backlash against Allen. "I made an bad mistake".

When CBS This Morning anchor Gayle King plainly asked Farrow if this was a personal vendetta to take down her former stepfather, Farrow responded that she had a right to be angry and was exhausted of being ignored and tossed aside for years.

"He's lying and he's been lying for so long", she said. But fielding a starry cast may prove increasingly hard for Allen in a movie industry in the midst of a "Me Too" reckoning.

He had worked with Allen before Farrow published an open letter the following year alleging that her father molested her in an attic and accusing Hollywood of turning a "blind eye". "I am so sorry, Dylan!" As a "mother and a woman", she wrote that the story of Farrow broke "her heart".

Farrow, 32, told the authorities in 1992 what had happened to her. Allen called the accusation "untrue and disgraceful" at the time. "He was a hero". "I want to speak out". "I've chosen to prioritize Dylan's account over all others".

But Dylan Farrow's story is many years old. Woody Allen is 82 years old now, but he'll never be too old to be made to face the bad things he is alleged to have done. I couldn't have imagined somewhere stranger to be that day. "My first impulse was that I had done something wrong". I have, however subsequently realized there is nothing easy about any of this. Dylan Farrow became visibly emotional. It's a small gesture and not one intended as close to compensation but I've donated my wage to @timesup. She also wanted celebrities who work with and praise Allen to "acknowledge their complicity and maybe hold themselves accountable to how they have perpetuated this culture of silence in their industry". The film received fairly average reviews, with a general consensus that it was a lesser version of more inspired Allen works of the past.

In an email to HuffPost, Chalamet's representatives claimed that a clause in the standard SAG agreement (which is shown below) that was attached to Chalamet's contract prevents him from speaking publicly. Chalamet says he will donate his salary for the film to charity.

Rachel Brosnahan: Though she worked with Allen on the Amazon series "Crisis in Six Scenes", the actress said that she has "struggled" with her decision to do it.
