Samsung outs new Isocell camera technology, possibly for the Galaxy S9

In particular, Samsung has announced a new camera sensor technology called ISOCELL via their website, and when it likely reaches the Galaxy S9 range, Samsung could reclaim the "best mobile camera" crown.

Apart from the camera-centric features, the Galaxy S9 box showed that there will be stereo speakers tuned by AKG as well as AKG-tuned earphones. Samsung has confirmed that the phone will be unveiled at Mobile World Congress next month, and it's expected to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 system-on-chip in U.S. and China markets and Samsung's Exynos 9810 in worldwide markets.

With reports claiming that S9 just features minor upgrades, let's see how these phones compare to each other. Now again a new piece of information is there which tells us about an all-new update which is rolling out in U.S region. As far as power goes, both devices are rumored to be powered by the newest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip in the United States and Samsung's proprietary Exynos 9810 chipset in the rest of the world.

From the specification leaks, we all know that the Samsung Galaxy S9 will purportedly have a single 12MP main camera while the Galaxy S9+ will reportedly go dual camera. But this might be changing with the S9 flagship duo. Samsung has an established customer base and pretty much any of their flagships are bound to sell well, but a smartphone line revolving around an upgraded camera isn't as revolutionary as something like Face ID - a tech that brought something entirely new to the high-end smartphone scene. Additionally, the smartphone is expected to sport a 5.5-inch display with a 720×1280 pixels resolution.

It's currently unclear if this will be similar to Sony's Xperia phones which can now shoot a short snippet of video at 960 frames per second. Maybe this new Isocell technology will make its way to the Galaxy S9.

It would be very unusual timing for Samsung to release this now and not include this in the new Galaxy S9 series.
