If it goes with the iPhone 7 name this year, the company may use the iPhone 8 moniker instead of iPhone 7s next year to emphasise the revolutionary new design. Also your mileage might vary depending on how you use your device, but as least we now know how long Apple expects their products to last. Apple has apparently already chosen Samsung to supply them with the AMOLED panels for their iPhones and a deal for the same was stuck last week for a reported sum of $2.6billion. (more...)

It is said to be the first time China's military has publicly admitted to landing a plane on the artificial island in the resource-rich South China Sea . As well as China, the Philippines , Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei and Taiwan have overlapping claims to parts of the sea, which are home to some of the world's most important shipping lanes and believed to sit atop vast oil reserves. Brazilian Attorney-General Jose Eduardo Cardozo took the floor to warn against voting to impeach the president, calling the process a "violent act with no parallel against democracy".
