The trunk of the black sedan pops open as it drives past the gas station store, with the woman throwing herself out of the vehicle while it's in motion. As the CCTV video reveals, the woman ran out of the trunk while the kidnapper drives off. He said the suspect appeared to have a pistol in his pocket and tried several times to withdraw cash from an ATM. (more...)

The worry, danger and challenges during an active shooter situation in Oakland on Friday were all reflected in Oakland police communications.
