After his eighth victory in Wyoming in nine contests, the self-proclaimed leftist Us presidential candidate Bernie Sanders on Sunday questioned his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton's judgment on CBS' " Face the Nation ". The AP delegate count gave Clinton 11 of Wyoming's 18 delegates, though those numbers could change after the state's May 28 state convention. The men's elite field took off from the starting line in the Boston suburb of Hopkinton at 10 a.m. EST (1400 GMT), about a half hour after the women's elite. The top American is Neely Spence Gracey, of Spencer, Colorado, making her marathon debut Monday. The 30-year-old edged second place Ernst Van Dyk, of South Africa, and Australian Kurt Fearnley, who was third. (more...)

In the elite runners' division, the women's and men's champions from a year ago are back in Caroline Rotich of Kenya and Lelisa Desisa of Ethiopia. This year, it is estimated that up to a million spectators may line the streets to watch the marathon. The 26.2-mile course runs through eight cities and towns. (more...)

At a ceremony in the port of Lesbos to thank Greeks, Francis said he understood Europe's concern about the recent migrant influx. The Vermont senator had hoped to meet with the pope, but as recently as Friday it appeared unlikely to happen, after the pope sent a note saying he would not be able to attend the conference because of his trip to the Greek island of Lesbos. A survey conducted by the Los Angeles Times found that almost 73 percent of those enrolled in the American Independent Party , which has 472,000 members, may have chosen it by mistake. Among other celebrities registered with the party were Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco and former professional boxer Sugar Ray Leonard. The top three finished within a second of each other. It could come down to a final sprint on the homestretch on Boylston Street. Hug's time was almost five minutes faster than his 2015 win. Tiki Gelana, the 2012 Olympics gold medalist, and fellow Ethiopian Buzunesh Deba also are in the hunt. Monday ...looks great too. Highs may even reach the upper 70s, low 80s(!) under mostly sunny skies. We're running out of ways to describe this sunny stretch of weather but this is a broken record forecast no one is complaining about. MONDAY NIGHT: Skies will stay mostly clear with a cool overnight low temperature of 53 degrees. So, after highs in the low and mid-60s, readings will go back down into the 30s overnight, with patchy frost again possible. (more...)
