The Nigerian economy has officially entered a recession as the country's gross domestic product (GDP ) shrank by 2.06 percent in the second quarter of 2016, according to a report Wednesday from the Nigerian bureau of statistics . "More important than the headline number is the fact that nearly all key sectors of the economy are now struggling", John Ashbourne, Africa economist at London-based Capital Economics, said in a note distributed Wednesday. On March 28, 2015, the company consolidated the Future Shop and Best Buy stores and websites in Canada under the Best Buy brand. Sales at its stores open a year or longer also surpassed forecasts.
